about

from a spark to a flame ...

Mama Toki's Blessed & Dressed Candles came from a place where most ideas are born from — need. In 2001, I was a young wife and mom who was struggling to find a job after staying home with my child for over a year. Money was tight, and I couldn't afford more costly spiritual help and intervention.

I had been studying African spirituality & magical herbalism for a few years by that point, so I had a beginner's knowledge of materials and how they could be used. After a few months of searching and applying, I finally had an interview! So, I gathered my ingredients, applied them to the candle, prayed fervently over everything & lit it.

And, I got the job!

As is life, I ran into different obstacles over the years, and went on to make more dressed candles and spiritual baths, conduct spiritual work as directed by my elders, and use other forms of manifestation work. Steadily & surely, my life improved. So years later, when my family and I opened Yeye's Botanica, dressed candles were the products I wanted to offer immediately.

For the last ten years, I've sold my candles in and around the Atlanta area. It has been a pleasure to get to know so many of my customers personally, and to hear how incorporating my candles into their manifestation rituals have helped them achieve so many of their biggest goals.

What makes my products unique?

I'm an initiated priestess of Osun and Ifa, and I conduct prayers and invocations over every candle to be attuned with each user's desires to bring about the most favorable results.

I launched my website in 2024, with the goal and intention to offer dressed candles and other products to a broader audience of people who are ready to take their spiritual and personal lives to the next level.
